Choosing Your Pain...

I spent some time delving into Essentialism by Greg McKeown.

With this, there are many incredible lessons and principles which really applied well to the business I am trying to build & the life I am trying to live.

And a few of those, I want to share with you today.

1 - We can either make the hard choices for ourselves or allow others to decide for us.

2 - The faster & busier things get, the more we need to build thinking time into our schedule.

3 - Only when we admit we have made a mistake in committing to something can we make a mistake a part of our past.

The list goes on & on.

These lessons above can apply to both business, and life.

My favourite from the above 3 is number 1.

You see, challenges and roadblocks are inevitable in everything we do.

In business, you’ll have to give someone their notice at some point.

In business, at some point you’ll get asked for a refund.

In life, if you do not choose to prioritize your health, this decision will be made for you.

In life, if you do not take control of your finances, your control over your finances will decrease.

So with this, you have to take the hard road and make a choice on these difficult subjects.

Choose to be proactive and search out a mentor for your business.

Choose to be proactive and fire the underperforming employee.

Choose to be proactive and get up early to prioritize your health at the gym.

Choose to track & budget accordingly with your finances.

Either way it is going to be difficult, so you may as well choose the one that brings a positive.

Hope you are happy, healthy and business is good.

Speak soon.
