The Art of Conscious Communication for Thoughtful Men

Full transparency, my baby, the podcast took a backseat over the last month.

Turns out, a surprise passing of a loved one can mess you up a little…

However, last week I was fortunate enough to chat with Jem Fuller.

The author of the book, The Art of Conscious Communication for Thoughtful Men.

He’s an epic human, avid world traveler, inspirational corporate leader, previous fire dancer, traditional tattooist, kindergarten teacher, masseuse, and travel consultant, plus has presented on the TEDx stage and is an award-winning author.

You know, one of those inspirational people that you want to sit around a fire with and listen to all day.

However, I wanted to share a few highlights from his book, because they were powerful enough to stop me in my tracks & I think they’ll be valuable for you too.

• In the absence of communication, there is only disconnect and distance. There can be no collaboration, no communion, and no resolution. In that void, we perish.

• More broadly, our ability to share new concepts, inspire and motivate, influence and lead, and listen and comprehend, is in our ability to communicate.

• We are prone to take much of what we hear personally and distort the information, as we filter it through our lens of bias and belief.

• Your liberation from any personal suffering is yours alone to work on. I’m just saying that opening up and sharing what you’re going through is an important part of the healing process.

Phwoarrrr, lot’s to digest here, and this is just the beginning.
